Job Description:

The Employee Relations Manager will be responsible for fostering positive employee relations within the organization, handling employee grievances, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of HR policies and procedures, excellent communication and conflict resolution skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

  1. Employee Relations:
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Act as a point of contact for employees regarding workplace concerns, conflicts, and grievances.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints and allegations, ensuring a fair and thorough process.
  • Mediate conflicts between employees and managers, facilitating resolutions that are fair and equitable.
  1. Policy Development and Implementation:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures related to employee relations.
  • Ensure that policies and procedures are communicated effectively to all employees and managers.
  • Monitor compliance with HR policies and regulations, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions.
  • Provide training to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  1. Legal Compliance:
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Work closely with legal counsel to address legal issues related to employee relations.
  • Advise management on disciplinary actions, terminations, and other employment-related matters to minimize legal risks.
  • Responsible for AAP/EEO reporting and plan administration.
  1. Immigration:
  • Manages all legal documentation related to employee immigration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field. Or, 10 years directly related experience in lieu of degree. HS diploma/GED still required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office required.
  • HRIS system experience required.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years directly related progressive HR experience required. Or 10 years directly related experience in lieu of degree. HS diploma/GED still required.
  • Proven experience in employee relations or HR management, with a thorough understanding of employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience conducting investigations and managing employee grievances.
  • Pharmaceutical or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • FDA experience desired.

Compensation:

  • This position pays $84,000 to $132,000 per year, depending on experience, with opportunity for growth, promotion and annual raises.
