Job Description:

The Director of Isolator Ops/Manufacturing is responsible for directing manufacturing functions by managing and leading the activities of managers and supervisors and their staff. Position assures proper resources are available for current operations and plans for future need based on the overall business potential. Position is responsible for developing and meeting expense and capital budgets for the Manufacturing sector of the business. Position is an active participant on the Executive Operating Committee. Position is responsible for overseeing cGMP compliance in all areas of Manufacturing and developing long term strategies to maintain compliance. Position is responsible for providing technical and business support to the Contract Manufacturing initiative. Position is responsible for supporting the career growth of subordinates.

  1. Directs the basic manufacturing functions of the site.
  2. Interacts extensively with support functions (QA, Production Inventory Control (PIC), EM, Regulator, Accounting, etc.)
  3. Develops strategic plans for incorporating new technology into the facility.
  4. Prepares and controls expense and capital budgets.
  5. Prepares development plans for subordinates.
  6. Participates on executive level committeess such as Project Review, Contract Manufacturing Oversite Committee, Customer Evaluation Meetings, etc.
  7. Participates in counseling and disciplinary activities, as necessary.
  8. Interacts with customers while on site and provides necessary support.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science related field required.
  • 10+ years of related pharma experience required.
  • Understanding of cGMP, business practices, accounting systems, inventory systems, sterilization, filtration, aseptic filling, packaging, lyophilization, Human Resource policies, and procedures, regulatory policies.
  • Proven Managerial experience with the ability to manage conflict and influence outcomes.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written, verbal/presentation, and active listening).
  • Ability to prioritize continually/multi-task; remains efficient in managing an ever-changing workload.
  • Ability to build and manage relationships; be responsive to the dynamics of the environment.
  • Ability to influence and interact with different levels within Jubilant HollisterStier.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.

Shift: Day

Compensation:

  • The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $220,000 depending on experience.
