Providence is seeking friendly and compassionate Clinical Student Interns to join our Sub Acute Care team at Providence St. Joseph Care Center in Spokane, WA. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.

We are looking for On-Call Variable shifts.

This position assists the unit Nurses and Nursing Assistants in their day-to-day customer service aspects to enhance the overall patient experience. This position seeks to meet resident social and emotional needs through frequent interaction, activities, and non-clinical personal attention. Support of clinical staff with supplemental tasks to alleviates strain on clinical caregivers, allowing their time to be focused on provision of direct patient care.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Home Health Aide or Nursing Assistant upon hire
  • 6 months Experience as an Home Health Aide.

About the Team

Providence Home and Community Care (HCC) is a service line within Providence with over 8,000 caregivers and 2,000 volunteers serving nearly 200,000 people a year, in their homes, in clinics and in a variety of congregate living ministries across our seven-state footprint.

HCC provides a full range of services and support for people of all ages, especially those facing chronic or life-limiting illnesses. Our core competencies include restorative care, longitudinal care and care through the end of life.
