Job Description:

The Community Relations Liaison plays a pivotal role in fostering positive relationships between the organization and the community/educational institutions, as well as taking point for internal employee events. This position involves engaging with various stakeholders, including business, local government officials, community organizations, and educational institutes to promote the understanding, collaboration, and support for the organizations mission and initiatives.

Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Community Engagement:

  1. Develop and implement strategies to engage with community members and stakeholders.
  2. Organize and participate in community events, meetings, and forums to promote dialogue and gather feedback, furthering JHS mission.
  3. Serve as a liaison between the organization, community, and educational institutes.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment between organizational goals and community needs.
  5. Identify opportunities for partnership and collaboration with community organizations and businesses.

Communication and Outreach:

  1. Manage the organizations presence on social media platforms and engage with community members online.
  2. Coordinate outreach effects to ensure that the organization's message reaches diverse segments of the community.
  3. Coordinate and participate in on-campus events such as career fairs, information sessions, networking events, and campus interviews to promote the organization and attract potential candidates.

Program Support:

  1. Support the implementation of community programs and initiatives.
  2. Coordinate internship program, including recruitment, on boarding, and program evaluation, to attract and develop emerging talent.

Additional Requirements:

  1. Coordination of seasonal employee appreciation events (ie summer employee appreciation day, holiday gift cards/celebrations, etc).
  2. Willingness to travel to various campuses and attend recruitment events as needed.
  3. Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Communications or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years directly related experience required.
  • MS Office Suite, HRIS & ATS systems, i.e. PeopleSoft, Technical & behavioral interviewing.
  • Strong knowledge of Social Media platforms and digital communication tools.
  • Proven experience in community and educational institute engagement.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Compensation:

  • This position pays $67,343 to $98,758 per year, depending on experience, with opportunity for growth, promotion and annual raises.
