Summary/objective

Work with production teams to inspect and ensure the highest-level quality parts reach our customers. Following detailed quality instructions, you will handle first and final part checks, rejecting any parts that don't meet our requirements.

Essential functions

  • Performs incoming, in-process and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, gauge blocks, height gauges, tester and 10X inspection loops.
  • Read internal data such as job travelers or specifications to determine inspection requirements & document results of inspection
  • Disposition questionable in-process product
  • Confirm job traveler accuracy, work with peers on job traveler accuracy
  • Complete change documents, manufacturing receipts, and inventory sheets.
  • Communicate effectively with Supervisors and Peers
  • Occasional calibration of inspection equipment


Wage Range:

$17.50-$18.00/hour

Competencies

  • Very detail oriented
  • Able to use measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Ability to communicate clearly between multiple departments
  • Desire to learn and continually improve processes
  • Able to work independently
  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred

Work environment

Well-lit and clean with moderate noise level. Position may have direct contact with various metal materials as well as occasional chemical (Acetone) exposure during part cleaning.

Physical demands

  • Sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Fine hand motor manipulation
  • Ability to use hand and foot controls

Required education and experience

  • Basic math skills

Preferred education and experience

  • Previous manufacturing experience
  • Familiarity of aerospace manufacturing standards
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Additional eligibility requirements

  • Must have vision (natural or corrected) 20/30 or better
