Job Description:

The Material & Logistics Manager will be responsible for the Management and effective execution of Transportation, Inventory Control, Receiving, Warehousing and Distribution Operations by implementing best practices and enforcing operational and personnel policies and procedures. Actively participate in Supply Chain Leadership team and provide direction and process improvement in above mentioned functions. Ensuring all role functions are efficient and effective and meeting the production needs of manufacturing for the JHS facility in Spokane.

Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provides leadership for Transportation, Receiving, Warehouse, Shipping, and Inventory Control Specialist personnel.
  • Ensure safe physical condition of warehouse areas, including receiving, shipping, cold storage, and off-site, by planning for proper cGMP capacity, frequent inspection of equipment and area, and issuing work orders for repair when necessary.
  • Budgets and controls expenditures in all related functions, including capital equipment requests.
  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, and training employees.
  • Contributes to inventory control by ensuring receiving, warehouse, and shipping activities are performed per procedure and inventory levels reconcile with SAP.
  • Drives accuracy and robustness of inventory control practices in manufacturing through activities led by Inventory Control Specialist.
  • Responsible for department SOP writing, modification, and adherence.
  • Provides for safe working conditions and practices in all areas of departmental control.
  • Manages staff results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; monitoring and appraising job results.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements.
  • Works with Supply Chain leadership on carrier and relevant services contract management and relevant vendor performance evaluations.
  • Responsible for providing both regulatory and client tours during audits and for being relied upon as the area expert in dealing with questions during client or regulatory audits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Arts with a business related degree or 10 years of related experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, high school diploma or equivalent still required.
  • 5+ years related experience required.
  • Supervisory Experience required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite SAP and ERP operating systems required.
  • FDA Regulated Industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Minimal Travel <10%; some travel required to supplier sites for external training.

Shift: Day
Compensation:

The salaryrangefor this position is $77,000- $121,000depending on experience.
