That's us!! Mountain West Bank is in need of an experienced Loan Servicing Manager for our beautiful Coeur d'Alene Idaho Corporate location. The Loan Serving Manager will be responsible for planning, directing, controlling, and evaluating the servicing of all Bank Consumer, Commercial, and SBA loans to ensure conformance with established Bank objectives, policies, procedures, and compliance with all lending regulations. Supervises all document preparation and post-loan documentation. Develops and implements the servicing procedures to assure accuracy and high level of customer service.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises all document preparation, CRA and HMDA on Consumer, SBA and Commercial Loans, post-loan documentation on all loans.
  • Oversee maintenance of loan files for documentation.
  • Oversee data integrity.
  • Oversee the SBA Standardization process for all SBA loans including those processed on behalf of other divisions.
  • Develop and submit budgets and plans for the department.
  • Originate and direct implementation of department policies and procedures.
  • Respond to all questions, inquiries, and problems regarding consumer, commercial, and SBA loan servicing. Handle more complex loan servicing problems and situations.
  • Provide direction and training to department personnel to ensure that all department activities are performed with a high level of customer service and in an accurate, efficient, effective, timely manner.
  • Work with the audit depart in coordinating file delivery for all audits to GBCI, for FDIC, Accounting firm, Federal Home Loan Bank, Borrower in Custody, and internal audits.
  • Develop and maintain an effective deliver/control program for setting up new loans (all types), loan sales, and participation of loans, including delivery and settlement dates and related accounting of such loans.
  • Oversees handling of investor transactions, maintaining investor/participant files and relationships.
  • Recruit, hire, develop and provide training to staff.
  • Work with the Consumer Lending Manager to provide training as needed to Retail Bankers.
  • Oversee the commercial lending liaison to direct continued training and assistance for MWB commercial loan assistants.
  • Evaluate the performance of direct reports, conduct evaluation interviews, and recommend appropriate salary adjustments, training, education, and possible advancement opportunities.
  • Attend seminars and conferences, participate in training and education programs.
  • Manage and test the core loan systems including Jack Henry, Laser Pro, Synergy and Decision Pro. Roll out and implement new programs and processes.
  • Responsible for production and updates of Loan Servicing Procedures Manual.
  • Responsible for monitoring of all Cognos reports including Loan Maintenance and Collateral Tracking.
  • Remain current on all new and existing regulations to ensure departments compliance within the Loan Servicing function.
    Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

About You

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. 10 or more years of experience directly related to Commercial, Consumer and SBA lending document preparation and post-loan documentation.
  3. Strong personnel management and team building skills
  4. A commitment to community involvement
  5. Expertise in lending compliance and bank regulations

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:

  • Prior knowledge of Mountain West Bank policies and procedures.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.

Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
