We are seeking an experienced Nurse with a specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will provide triage services to patients delivering exceptional care and support to OB/GYN patients in need of guidance and medical advice. Your expertise in OB/GYN nursing, combined with your strong assessment and communication skills, will be instrumental in ensuring timely and appropriate care for our patients.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct Triage: Assess patient needs, evaluate symptoms, and provide triage services to OB/GYN patients. This includes answering patient inquiries, offering medical advice, and determining the urgency and appropriate course of action.

2. Utilize OB/GYN Expertise: Apply your specialized knowledge in obstetrics and gynecology to identify potential complications, provide guidance on prenatal care, offer recommendations for common gynecological concerns, and assess the need for further medical interventions.

3. Patient Education: Educate patients on various aspects of OB/GYN health, including prenatal care, family planning, contraception, postpartum care, menstrual health, and menopause. Explain treatment plans, medications, and potential side effects to ensure patients have a clear understanding.

4. Collaborative Consultation: Communicate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals to discuss patient cases, obtain additional information, and coordinate appropriate care plans.

5. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately document patient interactions, assessments, and advice provided in electronic medical records (EMRs) or other designated systems. Ensure compliance with confidentiality and data protection regulations.

6. Follow Protocols and Guidelines: Adhere to established protocols, guidelines, and best practices in triage nursing, maintaining a high standard of care and patient safety.

1. Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling you to provide clear instructions, empathetic support, and accurate medical advice to patients remotely.

2. Critical Thinking and Decision-Making: Proficient in assessing symptoms, identifying potential complications, and making sound clinical judgments. Ability to prioritize urgent situations and determine appropriate levels of care.

3. Compassion and Empathy: Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate care and support to patients, showing empathy and understanding during difficult situations.

4. Organization and Time Management: Strong organizational skills to manage a high volume of patient interactions effectively. Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • You will organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering and evaluating on an ongoing basis
  • You will utilize the knowledge base of nursing education and experience to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures and protocols
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, patient experience and cost reduction
  • Foster a learning environment for patients/families, nursing staff and members of the health care team
  • Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within three (3) years from the initial date of hire; RN with 25+ years of service may be considered in lieu of education agreement
  • Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred
  • Washington State Registered Nurse license (RN)
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Advanced Life Support certification may be required after hire, depending on assigned clinic site
  • Two years of experience as a RN - in a clinic setting preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $30.43 - $43.79 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
