Associate Engineer - Facilities
Kennedy Jenks is seeking a Civil, Environmental, Mechanical or Chemical Engineer to support the growth and delivery industrial engineering design and construction projects as a Technical Lead. This would include industrial engineering design, chemical and process calculations, bench and pilot testing, and providing engineering services during construction of projects. Key Responsibilities:
You will work on challenging projects in the mining and metals, aerospace, pulp and paper mill, food and beverage, and manufacturing industries. If you are eager to grow and further develop your technical strengths including water and wastewater treatment, process engineering as well as overall design development, construction, commissioning, and startup assistance, look no further, this is the position for you. You will work in a collegial and supportive team-based environment on projects from initial planning stages through design construction, and startup operations.
Qualifications:
- BS or MS in Mechanical, Chemical or other related engineering field.
- 5+ years of engineering experience in planning, engineering, design, construction and commissioning.
- Prior engineering experience with industrial water, industrial wastewater, mechanical infrastructure, system controls, process automation, water/mass balances, or process design, is preferred.
- Project development oversight and project management, including scope, schedule, fee preparation, negotiation, project staffing, and coordination of activities related to planning, design, and construction.
- Travel to client and project sites for client visits/meetings and other travel to other Kennedy Jenks offices will be necessary.
- Leverage existing client relationships to expand services.
- Professional Engineer license is preferred.
- Experience with computer-aided drafting (CAD) and design in similar applications (BlueBeam) is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Kennedy Jenks offers a hybrid working environment. This role will require being onsite at a client location in Coeur d'Alene, ID and/or Spokane, WA.
