POSITION SUMMARY Team Coordinators plan and facilitate work of assigned employees to support on-time completion of production schedules. Increase the synergies and employ the knowledge of plant teams. Persons in this position will learn about our entire manufacturing process in the following ways: Get acquainted with the production floor while also working with our Industrial & Manufacturing Engineers. Learn how to operate our production-related computer systems. Become familiar with labor relations and union contracts. Work with and support the Materials department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Ensure that policies, procedures and bargaining unit agreement requirements are satisfied. 2. Willingness to accept and delegate authority. 3. Accurately maintain company records and documents in accordance with policies and procedures. 4. Focus on product quality and process control. 5. Perform "make" versus "buy" analysis. 6. Interview, appraise, and discipline employees. 7. Promote a positive environment by acknowledging team accomplishments. 8. Support material shortages. 9. Support machine and equipment repairs. 10. Report and respond to product and process nonconformance issues. Implement effective corrective actions utilizing structured planning methods. 11. Promote a safe work environment and participate in preventing potential safety problems. 12. Support housekeeping and safety of work area. 13. Understand and support the Continuous Improvement Plan. 14. Participate in the resolution of grievances. 15. Must be willing to complete additional advanced training/education courses as required. 16. Support teams as required and perform special projects when appropriate. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Student working towards a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology Management, Manufacturing & Technology Management, Supply Chain/Operations Management or related field. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater. Must be available for 20 hours per week during the school year and fulltime during summer PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment.
